Magic is very common in Keshyré and there are several prevalent types: high magic, natural magic, and ritual magic. Magic is any practice that creates change in the world through mystical means. Magic can be innate (natural magic), learned (high and ritual magics), or accidental.
Anyone is capable of natural magic. Natural magic is the magic of shamanism, spirits, superstition, and sorcerers. Many people possesses some form of common magic. The form common magic takes is generally dependent on their culture.
The forms high magic takes range from nearly scientific pursuits of wizards (enchantment, alchemy) to the godly might of priests and clerics. While high magic is generally more powerful than natural magic due to the dedication required mastery or to one's deity, it is not unusual for a practitioner of natural magic to become extremely powerful, especially in the case of shamanism and sorcery.
Ritual magic is used primarily for summoning of being from outer planes, demons or eldritch horrors. It is usually cast by multiple participant and often includes the participation of worshipers.
